Thinking about law?

The IU Health Professions and Prelaw Center (HPPLC) will host Law Day on Oct. 6 at the Indiana Memorial Union. Attendance is free and encouraged for all with an interest in pursuing a degree in law from freshmen to alumni.

The day will consist of the Admissions Dean’s Panel from 9 - 10:45 a.m. at the Whittenberger Auditorium followed by the Law School Fair from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and discussion topics for visiting deans at the panel. Both events are open

“Law Day is the best place in the world to be if you need anything answered about law school admission,” said HPPLC Prelaw Advisor Jacob Rossman. “If you are applying to law school, there are so many opportunities to make real impressions on law school programs, but also anyone can benefit by asking questions about their interest in law.”

One of the largest law school fairs in the nation, Law Day features admissions representatives from over 90 accredited schools. Patrons can visit scores of program kiosks, have discussions about law school admissions, and explore legal education.

HPPLC provides advising and resources for students who want to pursue careers in law, medicine, and other health professions. Students considering these professions must excel academically and plan carefully.

HPPLC works closely with undergraduates and alumni, helping them become thoughtful, well-prepared, competitive applicants to professional programs.
