BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Students interested in a profession in the healthcare field are invited attend the annual Health Programs Fair on March 3rd. The fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Alumni Hall of the Indiana Memorial Union on the IU Bloomington campus.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from medical schools and health programs from across the country. Featuring more than 100 schools, programs, and organizations, all undergraduate students are welcome explore these programs and learn more about what kinds of educational and professional opportunities are available.

The Health Professions and Prelaw Center (HPPLC) organizes this annual event to prepare students for the competitive admissions process in healthcare programs by connecting them with representatives from the schools. During the fair, students can ask representatives questions about the application process, how to make themselves a competitive candidate, and the criteria each school uses for admission. Students can benefit from meeting recruiters concerning the admission process to set them apart from other candidates. On average, approximately 400 students attend the Health Program fair each year.

“Students who plan to pursue careers in the healthcare field should not miss this event,” said Rachel Tolen, director of HPPLC. “Students will meet admissions reps and discover programs and careers they may not have encountered before. Attending the fair is a great way to discover potential career paths and learn how to be successful.”
