Several offices from across Indiana University have joined the new division of Institutional Analytics to help respond to the growing and complex data reporting and analytics needs of the university. Institutional Analytics is a division within University Information Technology Services created at the direction of President Pamela Whitten in Fall 2021.

The offices of University Institutional Research and Reporting, Bloomington Assessment and Research, Institutional Research and Decision Support at IUPUI and the Decision Support Initiative in UITS are now part of Institutional Analytics. Institutional research and reporting staff from regional campuses are also joining Institutional Analytics. Their expertise will support the division’s work in both internal and external data reporting and compliance, analysis and planning, evaluation and research and data engineering and infrastructure.

“It is now time for IU to take its institutional analytics capabilities to the next level so that we can respond to myriad challenges facing higher education today – how do we best address shifts in enrollment, how do we support our most at-risk populations, how do we evaluate our programs to ensure student success at every turn, how can we use our institutional data to predict outcomes?” said Sabrina Andrews, associate vice president of Institutional Analytics. “To best accomplish this, we are leveraging and aligning expertise to provide the university with a collaborative, innovative and efficient approach that adds value and provides data-driven, actionable information and insights.”

Institutional data and information can still be found on the following websites:
