Enhanced Exchange security measures in place by June 8 (story updated June 7)

Due to issues during pilot testing, the June 8 Modern Auth change for Exchange Online is being delayed. Instead of a global rollout, UITS and the IT Pro community will have Modern Auth required for their accounts. A wider rollout will be scheduled pending feedback from UITS and IT Professionals.

Original story:

IU will be rolling out improved security measures for Exchange as of June 8 and Skype for Business as of June 1. Some IU Exchange users will see no change while others may need to re-authenticate. If your email app is incapable of using IU’s Duo, you may need to replace the app.

Microsoft is ending basic authentication by Oct. 1 and will require multifactor authentication (Duo) instead.
