Pay with your CrimsonCard and save during July

The CrimsonCard Merchant of the Month promotion offers discounts in July (scroll down to see the July deals), including Lift Off Creamery at IUPUI, Big Woods at IU Bloomington, and Skyline Chili at IU Southeast. Pay with your CrimsonCard to get these deals.

New mobile version for Student Online Advising Records

Student Online Advising Records (SOAR) was released in fall 2020 as a desktop application. Now, an improved mobile version is available based on feedback from students.

SOAR provides access to your GPA, area of study, enrollment information, and academic advisor notes. SOAR also offers quick access to the Student Center, Bursar bills, Student Appointment Scheduler, faculty feedback, and iGPS.

Duo upgrade on July 12

Two-Step Login (Duo) will be upgraded on July 12 to Duo Universal Prompt at IU. In an effort to make logging into IU systems more secure, the Call Me or SMS (text) options will be removed.

No action is required, but you will notice a different look to the Duo prompt. Questions? Contact your campus UITS Support Center.

Be prepared for upcoming Google storage changes

Changes are coming to Google storage by the end of this calendar year, which means you have less than six months to make sure you’re under the storage limit.

Attention first- and second-year women

Applications open July 1 for the Center of Excellence for Women & Technology’s 2022-23 Emerging Scholars Research Experience for Undergraduate Women. All majors are encouraged to apply. Develop research skills, earn credit, and build your resume in a supportive, collaborative environment.

You are eligible for reduced-cost IT certifications

You are encouraged to take advantage of the Educational Certification (EdCert) program. Upcoming classes include CompTIA Project+, Red Hat System Administration, Configuring Windows Server services using on-premises, hybrid, and cloud technologies.

All courses are taught online only and meet from 9am to 4pm. You will need to provide an IU departmental account number to complete your registration.
