UITS news for August 10, 2022
It’s good to have a Duo backup
IU recommends setting up at least two devices for Two-Step Login (Duo), in case your primary device (usually your smartphone) is not available. You can also request a token.
Duo provides an additional layer of security when you log in at IU, helping protect sensitive data and guarding against increasingly sophisticated email and online phishing attack scams.

New secure file-sharing service available
Start using Secure Share now. Secure Share, which will replace Slashtmp, features enhanced security and an improved customer experience. Starting September 30, the previous file-sharing service, Slashtmp, will be read-only, and no new files can be added after that date.
Cell coverage iffy? Use Wi-Fi calling on cell phones
Wi-Fi calling allows you to make phone calls and send text messages when Wi-Fi is available but cellular coverage is inadequate (in the case of several famous IU limestone buildings).
You need to make minor configuration adjustments on your cellular phone to activate Wi-Fi calling. Once enabled, cellular phones automatically use Wi-Fi calling when needed.
