Survey says… Qualtrics for everybody!

The cloud-based tool is now available at IU without a fee

Nearly half of Americans wear the same pair of underwear for two or more days in a row, according to a survey from underwear maker Tommy John.

This is the kind of valuable insight you gain when you create a survey. So, while you may not need stats about underwear habits, the introduction of university-wide access to Qualtrics means you can create surveys about any topic without a fee.

Qualtrics is a cloud-based survey tool that can be used in browsers, mobile applications, and SMS text. Here’s how to put it to work for you:

  • Streamline the survey process so you can spend less time developing surveys and more time analyzing the results
  • Support research by introducing survey techniques to students or sharing information with peers at other universities
  • Gather data in the classroom, for a student organization, or for personal research

Whether you’re seeking delicate data or data about actual delicates, fee-free access to Qualtrics will help you get the information you need.

Webserve says good-bye, IU Sitehosting says hello

New IU website hosting service is now live and ready for use

For those of you who maintain an IU website on Webserve, this message is for you. UITS has been working on a replacement infrastructure for Webserve called the IU SiteHosting service.

In some cases, the people maintaining the website are not the Webserve account owner, and that’s why we’re sharing the message here. We’ve already contacted the Webserve account owners and contacts by email.

Here’s what you need to know:

Support questions?

For technical assistance, contact your local IT Pro, or contact the Support Center Tier 2 Web Services Support team.

For site development and coding support, you may wish to contract with IU Studios.

Tip: If you are using Webserve just to store documents for easy access, try Box instead.
