Protect yourself from spam and phishing
During the first week of classes, IU blocked more than 7.1 million malicious emails. However, scammers work nonstop to beat filters so they can steal your stuff.
If you see a suspicious email in your IU account, report it by selecting the Report Message icon in Microsoft Outlook under the Home ribbon. Or you can forward it to phishing@iu.edu.

Use the pronoun feature in Canvas
Adding pronouns to your profile helps create an inclusive environment, making it less uncomfortable for those wanting to share their pronouns with you.
To edit your pronoun, log in to Canvas, select Account, go to Settings, then scroll down to Edit Settings and select your preferred pronouns from the drop-down list.

Happening now: Grubhub Restaurant Week
Unlock exclusive discounts to off-campus restaurants this week during Grubhub Restaurant Week. Access offers on the Rewards tab in the Grubhub app through October 9.
To see the offers, open the Grubhub app, go to Account, then Campus Dining. Select your IU campus from the list and verify you are a student or employee.

How to store or share restricted or critical data at IU
Storing data correctly is the key to keeping it safe. Storage owners must use the Institutional Storage Request Form if storing or sharing restricted or critical data.
IU’s University Information Policy Office also reminds you that individually owned storage spaces such as Google at IU My Drive and Microsoft OneDrive at IU are never an appropriate place to share institutional data.
