Meet IU undergrads doing research with supercomputers
At IU East, Asia Sykes uses supercomputers to study the structure of DNA and RNA. As a physics minor at IU Northwest, Tyler Porter uses supercomputers to research binary star collisions. On the IU Bloomington campus, Camille Pushman uses supercomputers in her genetic entomologist studies. Roughly 30 percent of IU supercomputer users are undergraduate students from across all campuses.

Does your research intersect with technology? If so, now’s your chance to take your research to a broader audience. IU Bloomington undergraduate and graduate women can now register for the 10th Annual Women’s Research Poster Competition, taking place April 14, 1-5pm, in Luddy Hall.

Join us at IUPUI on May 18 for IU REDCap Day, where you’ll explore using REDCap to collect and manage research data. Attend in person or on Zoom at no cost. Help us build the conference program by registering today.

Training videos help you get started on Teams Calls
IT Training videos help you learn the basics of Microsoft Teams calling from your computer or mobile device.
Short videos (about one minute or less) show how to make, answer, transfer, and forward calls; set up and listen to voicemail; put calls on hold; or call someone using their phone number or username.

Is your CrimsonCard expiring within the next 90 days?
If so, avoid the rush and renew your CrimsonCard at no cost by visiting the nearest CrimsonCard office. A new photo will be taken and expiring/expired CrimsonCards should be surrendered at that time.
Upon expiration, the card will cease to function for any purpose (CrimsonCash purchases, meal plans, door access, print release, and more).
OER Summer Sprint offers Fellows $2,000-3,500
Apply to be a Fellow with the Open Educational Resources (OER) Summer Sprint Program. Fellows are required to adopt or adapt low-cost course material and will be provided with a stipend, the expertise of librarians, and instructional technologists. They will use a variety of solutions, including OER, library eBooks and databases, and instructor-created materials. IU Bloomington instructors are eligible.

Judges needed for poster competition
The Center of Excellence for Women & Technology is seeking faculty and staff to serve as judges for the 2023 Women’s Research Poster Competition. Poster presentations and judging will take place in the lobby of Luddy Hall on April 14. Register to be a judge by April 5.
