Gabriel Filippelli is the executive director of the IU Environmental Resilience Institute and his work has examined the links between lead distribution and children's blood lead levels in urban areas. He can comment on the recent lead contamination in Benton Harbor, Michigan, where residents have been advised not to use tap water for cooking, drinking or brushing teeth.
