Expert Bio

Christopher Chen is an assistant professor of operations and decision technologies and a research fellow with the Center for the Business of Life Sciences. His research interests lie at the interface of operations management and finance. Specifically, he studies the operational impact of regulatory changes under financial constraints with applications in supply chains and health care.

He received his Ph.D. in management science and operations at London Business School and previously was a consultant in portfolio optimization for the U.S. Department of Defense and in various intelligence agencies with Booz Allen Hamilton. He received a master’s in computer science and statistics from George Washington University and a bachelor’s degree in economics and biochemistry from Dartmouth College.
