Expert Bio

Coady Wing joined the O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs in 2014 after serving as assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and as a post-doctoral fellow at Northwestern University. His primary research examines how occupational regulations shape the way different types of workers are used to provide health services.

For example, he has examined how the regulation of nurse practitioners, dental hygienists and pharmacists affects the cost and availability of basic health services such as well care visits, teeth cleanings and fillings, and vaccinations. In other work, Wing studies the health and economic welfare of veterans.

Health and social policy, regulation of labor markets, causal inference, applied econometrics.
