Expert Bio

David Kim, lecturer in criminal justice, teaches and researches in the areas of comparative policing, citizens' perception of the police, community policing, police discretion, community and crime, and fear of crime.

Kim has presented at Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Annual Meeting and the Annual Meeting of American Society of Criminology. His work has been published in Police Practice and Research: An International Journal. He is a member of the American Society of Criminology, the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences and the Korean Society of Criminology in America.

Kim received his Master of Arts in criminal justice and his Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice with a minor in political science from Washington State University.
