Expert Bio

Monica Solinas-Saunders is an associate professor of public affairs in the College of Health and Human Services. She joined the faculty of Indiana University Northwest in the fall of 2011 after completing a Ph.D. in sociology/criminology at the University of Pittsburgh and a post-doc at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. Her research focuses on issues of incarceration, offender re-entry and interpersonal violence. Her most recent publications appeared in Victims & Offenders, The Prison Journal and Critical Sociology.
