Expert Bio
David Landy focuses on the understanding and perception of abstract ideas and quantities, including basic algebra and mathematical concepts, but also difficult -to -grasp quantities such as federal budgets and national populations, or the ways that electrical devices consume electricity. He received his Ph.D. in cognitive science and computer science at Indiana University, before a post-doc at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He was an assistant professor at the University of Richmond for four years before rejoining IU as assistant professor in psychology.
