Expert Bio

Edward Hirt, a professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, has been at IU since 1991. He has authored over 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals and is the author of "Self-Regulation and Ego Control." He has been called upon as an expert witness for several trials (mostly in terms of trademark infringement) and has been featured in numerous sports media outlets, including the "Confessions of a Cubs Fan" film documentary.

Hirt received his B.S. from the University of Dayton and his Ph.D. from Indiana University Bloomington. Before IU, he worked at Penn State University and University of Wisconsin-Madison.
