Expert Bio

Kirk Ludwig works on foundational issues in the philosophy of language (especially logical form and semantics), the philosophy of mind and action, annd epistemology. He taught at the University of Florida from 1990 to 2010 before joining IU.

He is co-author with Ernie Lepore (Rutgers) of "Donald Davidson: Meaning, Truth, Language and Reality" (Oxford University Press 2005) and "Donald Davidson's Truth-Theoretic Semantics" (Oxford University Press 2007). He is also the author most recently of two books on collective agency: "From Individual to Plural Agency: Collective Action 1" (Oxford University Press 2016) and "From Plural to Institutional Agency: Collective Action 2" (Oxford University Press 2017).
