Eric Sandweiss pursued a career in museums, public history and historic preservation before arriving at IU in 2002; since joining the IU faculty, Sandweiss has edited the Indiana Magazine of History, chaired the Mathers Museum Advisory Board, served on the College of Arts and Sciences strategic plan steering committee and chaired the Department of History. He is now an affiliate of the Environmental Resilience Institute, funded through IU's Prepared for Environmental Change Grand Challenge Initiative. Sandweiss earned his doctoral degree in architectural history from the University of California, Berkeley.View full bio
