Gerald Wright is emeritus professor in the Department of Political Science and has been at IU since 1981. He has published over 50 articles and four books on parties, representation, elections and state politics. He also worked at the National Science Foundation as program director.

He earned his Ph.D. in 1974 from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill,
