Nicola Pohl, a professor of chemistry and the Joan and Marvin Carmack Chair in Bioorganic Chemistry, joined Indiana University in 2012. After undergraduate work at Harvard-Radcliffe College, she completed her Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, followed by a National Institutes of Health postdoctoral fellow position in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University.
Pohl has been recognized for her independent work by the National Science Foundation with a Faculty Early Career Development, or CAREER, award; by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation as a fellow; by the American Chemical Society Carbohydrate Division with the Horace S. Isbell Award; and by the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University as a fellow.View full bio
