Sarah Bauerle Danzman is an international political economist specializing in the politics of foreign direct investment. Her research explores the domestic forces that support and oppose multinational firms; the politics and implementation of investment incentives; the ways in which international agreements influence investment flows; and the role of the U.S. economy in generating complex cycles of global banking crises. She is currently working with the World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies and the World Bank to better understand how different organizational structures of investment promotion agencies influence the effectiveness of investment facilitation.
