Expert Bio

Mirjam Zadoff holds the Alvin H. Rosenfeld Chair in Jewish Studies and is associate professor in history at Indiana University. She previously held an appointment at the University of Munich/Germany and guest appointments at the ETH Zurich, Augsburg University and the University of California Berkeley.

Her award-winning scholarship includes “Next Year in Marienbad: The Lost Worlds of Jewish Spa Culture” (University of Pennsylvania Press 2011), and "Werner Scholem. A German Life" (University of Pennsylvania Press 2017). Currently she is working on the history of dating in Jewish and other cultures from the 18th century until today.
