Expert Bio
Annette Champion is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Indiana University Bloomington. She teaches in the Master of Arts in speech-language pathology program and supervises clinical placements at the university clinic, including individual clients, a language-based preschool program and a summer programming partnership between IU speech and hearing sciences and Monroe County Consolidated School Corp. Champion has research collaborations with Erna Alant and Erin Peabody, investigating use of core vocabulary and Augmentative-Alternative Communication in Action. Her areas of interest are phonological and language delays and disorders in children and Augmentative-Alternative Communication.
