Expert Bio

Angela M. Salas is the founding director of the Indiana University Southeast Honors Program, as well as professor of English and associate vice chancellor for academic affairs. She has over 20 years of experience in honors education and administration and is the author of the only full-length study of the poet Yusef Komunyakaa, who was the subject of a weeklong seminar at the Furious Flower Poetry Center at James Madison University. Salas was a Distinguished Scholar in Residence at this seminar.
