Sameer Patil is an assistant professor in the School of Informatics, Computing and Engineering at Indiana University Bloomington. His research examines privacy and security implications of modern technologies from the user's point of view. His work has been published in several top-tier conferences and journals. He holds three U.S. patents. Patil obtained a Ph.D. in information and computer science from the University of California, Irvine and has previously held several academic and industry appointments at renowned institutions such as New York University, Helsinki Institute for Information Technology, IBM Research and Yahoo Labs.View full bio
