Expert Bio

William Kindred Winecoff is an associate professor of political science at Indiana University Bloomington. His research considers the politics of the global economy, including economic crises, financial systems, central banking and world trade.

Winecoff has contributed to the peer-reviewed journals Business and Politics, Global Networks, International Studies Perspectives, International Studies Quarterly, Perspectives on Politics, and Review of International Political Economy, as well as lay outlets including Foreign Policy, Public Seminar, The National Interest, Symposium, the Duck of Minerva and The Washington Post’s Monkey Cage. He earned a Ph.D. in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2013 and a B.A. in economics from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 2007.
