Alyssa McPherson

Expert Bio

Alyssa McPherson is a certified, licensed athletic trainer and academic specialist in the Department of Kinesiology. She is also the head athletic trainer for the IU Army ROTC, Ballet Theater, Contemporary Dance, Marching Hundred and Jacobs School of Music.

McPherson holds a B.S. in athletic training from Purdue University and an M.S. from Indiana University’s Accredited Post-Professional AT Program, and she completed an athletic trainer residency at Emory Sports Medicine. McPherson has a demonstrated interest in performing arts and dance medicine, and has spent three seasons with DCI drum corps, providing medical care while on nationwide tours.
