Charlotte Westerhaus-Renfrow, clinical assistant professor of business law and management at the IU Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis, can discuss how to create a larger pipeline of accessible entrepreneurial skills training that will support the creation and viability of Black and other minority entrepreneurs. She can also reveal how implicit or unconscious bias can adversely impact Black or minority-owned businesses. As a former diversity officer at multiple higher-education institutions and the NCAA, she can discuss the importance of Black-owned businesses as well as Black consumers and entrepreneurs to the United States economy.
In 2015, Westerhaus-Renfrow received Kelley’s top undergraduate teaching award: the Schuyler Otterson Award for Teaching Excellence. In addition to her teaching, she is a featured columnist for the Indianapolis Business Journal. She received a J.D. from Indiana University and B.S and M.Ed. degrees from Ohio University. She was awarded the First Decade Award for the National Association of College and University Attorneys in 2008.View full bio
