Amrou Awaysheh is an assistant professor of operations management at the Kelley School of Business. He is also the director of the Global Supply Chain Enterprise. His research focuses on how firms manage socially responsible practices in their operations and supply chains and the impact that has on firm performance.
Awaysheh has received a number of research and teaching awards, including the Buffa Dissertation Award from the Decision Sciences Institute. He was nominated for Professor of the Year for The Economist and was selected as Professor of the Week by the Financial Times.View full bio
Awaysheh's research has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Operations Management, Decision Sciences Journal, Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management, Academy of Management Best Paper Proceedings, and the International Journal of Operations and Production Management, as well as the popular press, including Forbes and the Financial Times. He is an active member of a number of professional organizations and serves on editorial review boards of a number of top-tier journals. Previously, he was a faculty member at the IE Business School in Madrid, where he taught in the MBA program. He has conducted seminars and worked with a number of large organizations, including GlaxoSmithKline, Unilever, Whirlpool, Cummins, John Deere and Santander Bank, among others.
