Expert Bio
Mary Held is a project coordinator at the Center on Community Living and Careers. Her interests include teacher education, transition from school to adult life, self-determination and curriculum development. Her responsibilities include research, training, technical assistance around education, and training for professionals and staff working in schools and adult services. Held has 30 years of experience in the disability field, serving as a high school special educator, certified rehabilitation counselor, supported employment provider and service coordinator before joining the institute. She has authored several articles and book chapters as well as done numerous state and national trainings.
