William D. Ramos is an assistant professor with the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies as well as the director of the Aquatic Institute at IU Bloomington. He is also on the American Red Cross Research Advisory Council. His research agenda focuses on how the aquatic environment adds to the picture of public health and ultimately the quality of life. Examining factors including physical activity, drowning prevention, recreational water illnesses and accordance/access issues will help to develop a holistic view.View full bio
