Expert Bio
Marleen Newman, a registered architect, is associate director of the Indiana University Center for Art + Design in Columbus, Indiana, and teaches in the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design’s Master of Architecture program.
She holds a professional degree from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and has been a faculty member at IU Bloomington for the past 13 years, teaching design studios and architectural history and theory. As an architect in Boston and Bloomington, she has designed significant prize winning projects in both cities. She is also interested in urban design, historic preservation and modernism and regionalism in architecture.
