Christina Ludema

Expert Bio

Christina Ludema is an assistant professor in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington, with expertise in infectious disease and STI epidemiology. Her research and training have focused on social and structural contributors to sexually transmitted disease outcomes and causal inference methodology.

She has been involved in the Women’s Interagency HIV Study, a large prospective cohort of HIV-infected and uninfected women in the U.S., since 2013. Her current research interests include health insurance policy, food insecurity, and transportation and their effects on HIV control and comorbidities.

She is available to discuss public health measures to contain COVID-19, such as contact tracing and physical distancing, and issues of equity in accessing health care.
