Michael Hendryx is a professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health. He earned his Ph.D. in psychology from Northwestern University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in methodology at the University of Chicago. His primary research interest is in health equity, especially for people experiencing socioeconomic disadvantage or exposures to environmental pollutants. As of 2018, he has published over 140 peer-reviewed research articles and has worked as an investigator on extramural research awards totaling over $15 million. Hendryx has previous administrative experience as a department chair and as director of two federally funded research centers.View full bio
