Autonomous and driverless vehicle safety testing method, instrumentation, embedded system in medical device
Stanley Chien is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Purdue University in 1989. He has a variety of interests ranging from robotics to embedded systems to autonomous vehicles.
Chien is chair of the Society of Automotive Engineers task force under the SAE Active Safety committee for the development of surrogate pedestrian/bicyclist target documents J3116 and J3157.
He has collaborated with experts in the medical, health care and biology fields for the development of the MRI patient localization device, multi Western blotting device, and Quantifiable Soft Tissue Manipulation devices.View full bio
