Expert Bio

Mark Baer is a lifelong actor, director and producer of live theater. He serves as an associate professor of theatre at Indiana University Northwest, teaching all levels of acting, directing, script analysis, stage management and sound design as well as directing and producing Theatre Northwest performances.

Baer holds an MFA in directing from Illinois State University. He is an associate member of SDC and a member of the Society of American Fight Directors. He is co-founder and president of Gary Shakespeare Company. He directs and performs frequently with many professional and community theaters around the Midwest.
