Areas of Expertise
Geographic information science (GISc), network science, spatial statistics, Bayesian statistics, operations research, transportation planning, architecture.
Aniruddha "Rudy" Banerjee's interests are in spatial/computational statistics, network science and systems science (population health). He has applied combinatorial optimization methods using integer programming, Bayesian simulation of hierarchical networks and stochastic optimizations to analyze health information and develop space-time models of population health.
Banerjee was a recipient of the 2005 International Medical Geography Jacques May Dissertation Prize. He has been invited to the NIH, Oak Ridge National Laboratories, Institute for the Future (a Rand Corporation spinoff), University of California at Berkeley, Harvard University and others to share his work on GISc and health. He also advises SmartZip Corporation, a Silicon Valley startup.View full bio
