Cancer prevention and control, cancer screening, behavioral interventions, survivorship.
With continuous NIH funding since 1984, Victoria Champion is an internationally recognized expert in behavioral oncology, with research focusing on interventions to increase cancer screening in community settings. Additionally, her research has addressed cancer survivorship across the survivorship continuum.
She is a Distinguished Professor of Nursing and the Edward and Sarah Stam Cullipher Endowed Chair; she also serves as IUSCC's associate director of community outreach/engagement and population science.
Champion has served on many national advisory panels including a presidential appointment to both the National Cancer Advisory Committee (2008-2014) and the CDC Executive Committee for Breast and Cervical Cancer.View full bio
