Expert Bio
Jason Bertram is a theoretical biology fellow at Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute. Preparing for environmental change requires an ability to anticipate all the ways ecosystems can be altered by new climate patterns, and mapping these processes and feedback loops is his focus. He builds mathematical models to show how complex biological systems respond to, interact with and change their environments.
Bertram aims to build quantitative models based on the core principles underlying evolutionary adaptation and ecological relationships among species to predict how the future may look for Indiana.
