Expert Bio
Luis Inaraja Vera is a conservation law fellow at Indiana University’s Environmental Resilience Institute. As climate change creates new challenges for land use and management, he aims to identify and promote laws and policies that reduce uncertainty for landowners in Indiana and beyond.
He works to develop frameworks to guide decision making related to voluntary programs, compensation and regulation to create more predictable policy conditions in an era of environmental uncertainty. Through his research, Inaraja Vera’s goal is to identify effective means of evaluating voluntary programs in order to systematically assess the progress and impact of such initiatives.
