Expert Bio

Barbara A. Cherry is a professor in The Media School at Indiana University. Her research focuses on deregulatory policies, governance structures and international analyses of infrastructure industries; and reflects interdisciplinary academic background integrated with policy-making experience. She has held positions at the FCC, the Quello Center for Telecommunication Management and Law at Michigan State University, Ameritech and AT&T.

Cherry holds a Ph.D. in communication studies from Northwestern University, a J.D. from Harvard Law School, a Master of Arts in economics and law from Harvard University, and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Michigan.
