Expert Bio
Teresa Bell is an assistant professor of surgery at the IU School of Medicine and executive director of the Center for Outcomes Research in Surgery. She holds a Ph.D. in health outcomes and policy research and works in the field of injury research.
Her research has primarily focused on understanding long-term outcomes of pediatric and young adult trauma patients, as well as assessing the quality of trauma center care. She has also investigated the epidemiology of pediatric injuries, as well as state injury prevention policies and opioid use in adolescent trauma patients.
