Expert Bio

Hank Green is an associate professor in the IU School of Public Health-Bloomington’s Department of Applied Health Science and the director of research for the IU Precision Health Grand Challenge Initiative’s Person-to-Person Health Interview study.

His research focuses on the social and cultural determinants of health and how a person’s social network influences their attitudes and behavior. His research examines how physician networks affect HIV prophylaxis prescribing in the U.S. His work also explores sexual health among men who have sex with men in Beirut and how social networks impact HIV-care adherence among HIV-positive individuals in Uganda and Botswana.
