Brian D’Onofrio is a professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and director of clinical training. His research seeks to understand the etiology, treatment and assessment of behavioral health problems (i.e., mental health and substance use problems) by leveraging advances in clinical psychology, epidemiology/biostatistics, developmental science, medicine, pharmacology, genetics, and dissemination and implementation science.

In particular, his research leverages translational epidemiologic methods to better understand the processes that account for the associations between putative causal risk factors and health problems; evaluate real-world interventions; and guide intervention developmental and dissemination.
