Partnership Intermediary Agreement could bring high-tech inventions to market from Southern Indiana

BLOOMINGTON, Ind., and CRANE, Ind. – High-tech company development and job growth in Southern Indiana could be strengthened by a partnership agreement to be re-signed Tuesday, Sept. 19, by officials from Indiana University and Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division.

The Partnership Intermediary Agreement, or PIA, will allow NSWC Crane to provide information about its research and development capabilities and resources to IU. The university, in turn, can showcase NSWC Crane’s inventions to companies interested in licensing them and bringing them to market. This could lead to the launch of new high-tech companies and the creation of high-paying jobs.

IU Vice President for Research Fred H. Cate and Commanding Officer Capt. Mark Oesterreich will represent the university and NSWC Crane at the event.
