BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Nine teams of entrepreneurs will deliver five-minute business pitches to a panel of judges at Demo Day, the final event of the 22-week B-Start pre-accelerator program in Bloomington for early-stage startups.
Most finalists are Bloomington residents, including 10 Indiana University students. Each team will receive $500 for participating. The three top-scoring teams will divide $4,500 in prizes.
“Creating new businesses and plugging them into the startup ecosystem in Bloomington is the goal of the B-Start program, and this new cohort looks like one of our strongest yet,” said Anne McCombe, project manager at the Bloomington Economic Development Corp.
Innovate Indiana, a dedicated effort to channel Indiana University’s leading resources to advance economic development and technology commercialization in the state and beyond, is a founding sponsor of B-Start.
