Instant replay: A look inside the NCAA tournament experience at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall

Mar 23, 2021

Indiana University hosted NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament games inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall for the first time in 40 years when teams took the court March 18 to 20 for First Four and first-round contests.

IU personnel worked with the NCAA for a couple of months to get the historic venue ready for the event. The action was intense, most of the games were close, and one even involved a stunning upset.

Although COVID-19 safety protocols allowed only a limited number of fans in the stands, those in attendance brought energy to the event. Here’s a look at the tournament games IU hosted.
