Registration is now open for the HathiTrust Research Center’s spring workshops.
The workshops will be offered virtually in two series this spring. Each series consists of four workshops which will be spread over four weeks.
Series 1: 2/12, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5 all 12-2 p.m. E.T.
Series 2: 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23 all 12-2 p.m. E.T.
The four workshops in each series are:
1: Introduction to HTRC for text and data mining
2: HTRC Extracted Features dataset
3: HTRC Data Capsules environment
4: Supporting text and data mining from the library
Please register for workshops in only one of the series and do not mix-and-match between the two series. Registration is limited to affiliates of HathiTrust member institutions.
Librarians who attend all four days will be invited to join the HTRC Trainers Community, through which they will have access to further training opportunities, including a reading group, support for teaching a workshop locally, and the opportunity to communicate with others who teach with or support use of HTRC on their campus. Members of the community are expected to teach an HTRC workshop locally within nine months of having completed an HTRC workshop series.
