BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—The IU Office of the Vice President for Information Technology and CIO today announced that Jason Williams has been named chief information security officer (CISO) for Indiana University, effective March 7. Williams comes to IU from the role of CISO for the University of California Office of the President, and prior to that director of information security and compliance at the University of Notre Dame.
In his new role, Williams will lead the University Information Security Office (UISO) and report to Information Security Associate Vice President Von Welch. Information Security’s role is to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and delivery systems across the university.
