Will your sweetheart remember you on Valentine’s Day? Duo will
Duo Two-Step Login is a sweet security tool, but frequent logins can sometimes feel needy. Click “Yes, trust browser” when completing a login on your personal devices; this will lower the number of times you have to Two-Step in the browser from which you initiated your login.
IU Mobile updates
New IU Mobile updates include better data about athletics for multiple campuses, map improvements for Android users, a new home screen icon selector for iOS users, improvements to dark mode and user settings, and improved error messaging across the app. The new version (5.2.2) of IU Mobile is now available in the Apple and Google App stores.

Students save $100 million thanks to faculty using IU eTexts
Since the IU eTexts initiative began, students have saved $100 million off retail textbook prices. In fall 2022, 58.5 percent of the student body saved $8.9 million by taking courses that used IU eTexts titles. IU eTexts not only save students money but also aid in engagement and accessibility.

Statistical and mathematical software changes coming
Beginning in July 2023, IU will no longer offer Maple or IBM SPSS Amos software. If you use these packages, you will need to purchase your own copy from the vendors. Contact radl@iu.edu for more information or help with the transition.

Cybersecurity update: IU to limit email sending threshold
On February 23, IU will begin limiting the email sending threshold for individual faculty and staff accounts. This change is in response to recent campaigns where compromised IU accounts have sent large numbers of phishing and scam emails.
Accounts exceeding this new limit will be blocked from sending email and can only be unblocked by the Support Center.
